ALQOESTE was born out of enchantment — for the land, tradition, and the beauty of handcraft.

It began with a passion for Ginja liqueur in the streets of Lisbon. That ritual inspired us to explore old recipes, listen to local secrets, and, with time and curiosity, transform a hobby into a craft.

During the pandemic, destiny led us to the West of Portugal. Surrounded by local markets, Rocha pear orchards, and vineyards, we rediscovered the rhythm of nature — inspiring the creation of something rooted in slow time. With the support of local initiatives such as Fábrica do Empreendedor and Investir Torres Vedras, the dream took shape, space, and a name.
